The Master and Fellows give notice of two Lady Margaret Lectures for the Lent Term 1999.
Professor Colin Gough (Director of Superconductivity Research, University of Birmingham) will lecture on The Stradivarius secret: myth or reality? at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 11 February 1999.
Professor Patrick Atiyah, QC, FBA (formerly Professor of English Law, University of Oxford) will lecture on Social change and the law - the last fifty years at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 March 1999.
Both lectures will be given in the Theatre, Christ's College.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, 19 March 1999, at 2.30 p.m. in Christ's College Chapel for Professor Charles Cameron Donald Shute, M.D., Fellow of the College since 1957, Life Fellow since 1984, Emeritus Professor of Histology, who died on Saturday, 2 January, aged 81 years, after a short illness.
