University of Newcastle upon Tyne

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

Applications are invited for one or more Postdoctoral Fellowships, tenable for two years from 1 October 1999, from persons who have shown themselves able to carry out original research. Appointments are normally made to candidates in the first ten years of their research career. The stipend for each Fellowship will normally be between £16,655 and £18,275 a year.

Sir James Knott Fellowships. One or two Fellowships available in any Faculty.

The following additional Fellowships may also be available:

Lord Adams Fellowship. In any Faculty, but candidates must have connection, through family, residence, education, or research topic, with the former County of Cumberland.

Earl Grey Memorial Fellowship. In any Faculty, but candidates must be graduates of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Wilfred Hall Fellowship. In the Faculty of Science.
