Philosophical Society

On Monday, 23 November 1998, at 8.30 p.m. in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor J. E. Baldwin, FRS, of the Cavendish Laboratory, will deliver a lecture entitled The sharpest astronomical images: how and why. All who are interested are invited.

At a meeting held on 9 November, Dr A. J. Munro, President, was in the Chair. Thirty-eight Fellows were elected. [During 1998 a total of 129 Fellows have been elected and ten have been re-elected.]
