The Governing Body invites applications from women and men holding postdoctoral appointments for a non-stipendiary Fulford Junior Research Fellowship in the sciences. The Fellowship is tenable for two years from 1 October 1999 or for the duration of the postdoctoral appointment, whichever is the shorter. Preference will be given to those whose doctoral degrees were obtained not more than three years ago.
The Fellow will become a member of the Senior Common Room and will be offered Common Table rights except when the College is closed. Candidates should give details of the work they will be doing in Oxford (in no more than 500 words) and of their means of support. Applications (six copies), including a curriculum vitae and the names of two referees, should be sent to the College Secretary, Somerville College, Oxford, OX2 6HD. Referees should be asked to write directly to the College Secretary under confidential cover. The closing date for applications is Friday, 4 December 1998.
