'Women in SET' Initiative

PROJECT DIRECTOR

Applications are invited for the post of Project Director for a 'Women in SET' Initiative which has been established by the General Board. The Project Director will take forward a limited number of initiatives, agreed by the Board on the advice of an Advisory Committee, aimed at improving women's access to, and participation and progression in science, engineering, and technology. Applicants must have established reputations in scientific or technological research and proven skills and experience in project direction, management of staff, and fund raising, as well as experience of contributing to the development of science policy and networking at national and possibly international level. The post is 50 per cent of full-time and the pensionable salary will be on the scale £20,107-£31,010 a year, pro rata. The appointment will be for one year in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment for a further year.
