Judge Institute of Management Studies

THE JAMES TYE, BRITISH SAFETY COUNCIL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Thanks to a generous donation from the British Safety Council, the Judge Institute is able to appoint a Research Fellow. The Research Fellow will be expected to anticipate the evolutionary trends in occupational safety and environmental performance, and to define a research agenda which allows their interaction with organizational culture to be explored. The research will be under the supervision of Dr Chris Hope and Professor Sandra Dawson. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or a strong research track record in the field of occupational safety, the environment and the use of numerical information, and be interested in complexity theory and its application to organizations.

The Fellowship will commence on 1 January 1999 and will be for an initial three-year term, renewable for at least a further two years. Salary, according to age and experience, will be in the range £15,735 to £31,010 a year.
