COMPUTER ASSOCIATE (GRADE IV)

(Clinical School IT Support Service)

Applications are invited for the new post of Computer Associate, Grade IV, to take up appointment on or after 1 October 1998. The post holder will act on the direction of the Clinical School IT Support Service helpdesk to support PC and Mac workstations and other computing facilities within University Departments based at the Addenbrooke's site. The successful candidate will have some experience of troubleshooting PC and MAC workstations and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software running under Windows 3.1, 95, and NT workstation is also required. University Departments are dispersed widely across the Addenbrooke's site and the post holder will often be required to work unsupervised. Appropriate training will be offered to the right candidate. Appointment will be for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment. Salary will be on the scale of Computer Associate, Grade IV (£15,735-£18,275 a year), depending on age and experience.
