Students wishing to have the use of a non-standard calculator must bring it marked with their name and College, and with its memories already cleared, to the Department of Chemical Engineering between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the Thursday before the first paper of the relevant examination. Each student will be asked to sign a declaration that the calculator has been cleared of all stored material. A member of staff will check that no information is stored. After checking, the calculator will remain in the custody of the Department until the end of the last paper. On each day of the examination the calculator will be placed on the candidate's desk by the staff of the Department. The Department takes no responsibility for the malfunction of a calculator held in its custody during the examinations.
