Institute of Theoretical Geophysics

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN THEORETICAL GEOPHYSICS

Applications are invited from postdoctoral scientists in any area of Theoretical Geophysics to work in the Institute of Theoretical Geophysics, established as a joint venture between the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and the Department of Earth Sciences under the Directorship of Professor H. E. Huppert, FRS. Current research areas of the Institute include geodynamics, geological fluid mechanics, geomagnetism and induction, sedimentology, seismology, and volcanology.

Salary scale: £15,159-£21,016 a year.

Six copies of the application, including a curriculum vitae and the names of three referees (with postal, fax, and e-mail addresses) and a statement of approximately 1,000 words describing the applicant's previous and current research, should be sent to Mrs A.
