COMPUTER ASSOCIATE

The Clinical School IT Support Service wishes to appoint a Computer Associate (Grade III/IV) to play a front-line role in user support for University departments based at the Addenbrooke's site. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting PC and Mac workstations and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software running under Windows 3.1, 95, and NT workstation is also required. This post is largely a front-line support role, however the post holder will be expected to assist in development work such as setting up and testing new services, or maintaining servers (running on NT) and planning hardware/software upgrades.

Appointment will be for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment. Salary will be on the scale of either Computer Associate IV (£15,159-£17,606 a year) or Computer Associate III (£17,606-£22,785 a year) depending on age and experience.
