New Hall

SECOND ANNUAL HOWARTH AND SMITH LAW LECTURE

Sir Richard Doll (Emeritus Professor of Clinical Medicine and former Regius Professor of Medicine at the University of Oxford), discoverer of the link between smoking and cancer, and Professor Dick Howard (Professor of Law at the University of Virginia), expert on the American First Amendment, will join Don Howarth (B.A., J.D., Harvard) and Suzelle Smith (B.Phil., Oxon., J.D., Virginia), prominent Los Angeles trial lawyers and Visiting Scholars of New Hall, in drawing on their experience of high profile medical/legal cases to lecture on Medical-legal ethics: the consequences of implied or denied consent, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 12 May, in the Kaetsu Lecture Theatre, New Hall.
