Elizabeth Tuckerman Scholarship Awards

The Trustee of the Elizabeth Tuckerman Scholarship Foundation, Los Angeles, California, is pleased to announce the availability of annual education grants for financial assistance to persons domiciled in Wales who have graduated from a college or university located in the United Kingdom or in the United States of America, and who desire to obtain and further their postgraduate education at a college or university located in the United States.

Such persons shall be entitled to make application in writing to the Trustee, through the financial aid office at their respective universities, with evidence satisfactory to the Trustee that the applicant has been accepted for enrolment in or is currently attending any college or university in the United States as a postgraduate student. The Trustee shall take into consideration the scholastic grades of each applicant and any funds or other property available to such applicant from other sources, as well as any other additional information the Trustee may wish to obtain from the applicant.

Application forms are available from the University Registry, The Old Schools, Trinity Lane, Cambridge, CB2 1TN (tel. 332317). Completed forms must be returned by 1 June 1998 to be eligible for grants awarded for the coming scholastic year. The Trustee will grant individual awards to qualified applicants to be paid direct to the awardee or on behalf of the awardee to the university or college that the recipient will attend. Each award will normally provide for tuition, books and supplies, living expenses, and transportation from the United Kingdom to the United States. Notifications of the awards will be made by 15 August 1998.
