At a meeting held on 2 March 1998 in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Dr A. J. Munro, President, was in the Chair. Professor Brian F. G. Johnson, F.R.S., of the Department of Chemistry, delivered a lecture entitled Metal clusters: a new dimension. A vote of thanks was moved by Dr D. Husain.
Travel grants amounting to £1,925 have been awarded to Fellows of the Society.
