COMPUTER ASSOCIATE

The Clinical School IT Support Service wishes to appoint a Computer Associate (Grade II) to play a leading role in the continuing development of IT support services at the Clinical School. The person appointed will be responsible for managing and providing technical support to users with Apple Macintosh and PC hardware, providing training support to users, developing and testing new services, and will be responsible for computer strategy and management across the whole range of services provided by the Clinical School IT Support Service. The successful candidate will be a computing professional with a good degree or equivalent qualification, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an established track record in computing support. Technical experience of system management of networked personal computers including Apple Macintosh is essential; Unix experience would be desirable.

Appointment will be for two years in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment. Salary will be in the range £21,894 to £25,552 a year.
