Elections, appointments, reappointments, and grants of title

The following elections, appointments, reappointments, and grants of title have been made:

Elections

Professor S. L. Engerman, John H. Munro Professor of Economics and Professor of History, University of Rochester, elected Pitt Professor of American History and Institutions for the academical year 1998-99.

Professor R. J. Evans, whose election into the Professorship of Modern History was announced in Reporter, p. 47, will take up his duties on 1 October 1998.

Mr I. M. Leslie, Ph.D., CHR, M.Appl.Sc., Toronto, University Lecturer in the Computer Laboratory, elected Professor of Computer Science from 1 October 1998.

Dr M. Martinez, Titular Professor of Psychobiology, Faculty of Psychology, University of Valencia, elected B.B.V. Foundation Visiting Fellow, assigned to the Department of Anatomy, from 5 January to 25 March 1998.

Secretary

  Physics (correction). Miss H. M. Coote was reappointed from 1 January 1998 not 1996 as announced in Reporter, p. 316.

Grants of Title
