Notice of a benefaction

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has accepted with gratitude a bequest of £250,000 under the will of the late Harold George Short, in memory of his wife Kathleen Madge Short. This bequest is for the support of research in cancer in the Department of Oncology. The Council are submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 3, p. 321) for the approval of regulations to govern this benefaction.
