Preliminary Examination for Part II of the Economics Tripos, 1998: Correction

In their Notice concerning the form of the examinations to be held in 1998 (Reporter, p. 259), the Faculty Board of Economics and Politics gave notice of a change in the form of Paper 6 of the Preliminary Examination for Part II. The information given there contained an error; candidates will be required to attempt three questions (not two, as stated) from Section B of this paper. The full description of Paper 6 should read:

Paper 6. Mathematics for economists and statisticians

This paper will be divided into two sections. Section A will contain nine short questions; Section B will contain six longer questions. Candidates will be required to attempt all the questions in Section A and three questions from Section B. Each section will carry fifty per cent of the total marks.
