Faculty Committees for the consideration of the establishment of personal Professorships and Readerships with effect from 1 October 1998: Notice

The following amendments have been made to the membership of certain Faculty Committees (see Reporter, 1996-97, p. 1087):

1. School of Arts and Humanities

Faculty Faculty Members Appointed
Architecture and History of Art Professor G. P. K. Beer in place of Professor D. H. Mellor
Divinity Ms R. M. Paul appointed as Secretary in place of Professor M. D. Hooker, who will remain a member of the Committee.
English For Readership only: Dr C. H. Page

2. School of the Humanities and Social Sciences

Faculty Faculty Members Appointed
Law The Secretary of the Faculty of Law will serve as Secretary of the Committee in place of Professor D. E. L. Johnston, who will remain a member of the Committee.
Professor J. Beatson, Professor W. R. Cornish, Professor D. P. Farrington, and Dr A. M. Morris will be on leave in the Michaelmas Term 1997, and will not now serve as members of the Committee.
Centre of International Studies Professor T. C. W. Blanning will serve as Secretary.

3. School of the Physical Sciences

Faculty Faculty Members Appointed
Mathematics Professor G. W. Gibbons
Professor N. J. Hitchin has resigned his University office, and will not now serve as a member.
Physics and Chemistry Professor G. P. Efstathiou
