Dr Chris Kelly, CC, will give a short talk on Emperors as gods, angels as bureaucrats: the representation of imperial power in Late Antiquity, and Dr Dominic Janes, PEM, will give a short talk on Toward a social history of buried treasure from Rome to the Middle Ages at the 328th meeting of the Cambridge Historical Society at 5.20 p.m. on Tuesday, 21 October, in the Thomas Gray Room, Pembroke College. Prospective members are welcome, and tea will be available in the Inner Parlour at 5 p.m.
