The Analysis and Business Systems Team develops, improves and disperses reliable and timely financial information to the University, UK Government departments, sponsors and other interested parties.
We assist in determining future research income by identifying and analysing key performance measures, both internally and against our main competitors.
We report on research income and provide financial forecasts. We work closely with School Finance Managers, the Finance Division, the Management Information Services Division and the University’s Planning and Resource Allocation team.
We monitor the quality of data used to produce all reports and we ensure the processes are robust.
Our monthly research activity report provides detailed information about research grant applications and contracts negotiated, activated awards and committed income remaining.
Summary of research income
Research income received by the University, for financial years 2003-04 to 2007-08, together with various analyses, including breakdowns by Sponsor Type and by School Divisions, is available on request.
