Post Awards Services is responsible for assisting departments in relation to the financial administration of EC FP7 grant funding. The specific tasks conducted by the team for FP7 include:
EC reporting: advising on and co-ordinating periodic reporting requirements.
Co-ordinator grants: liaising with PIs, financial report administration, partner payments, partner queries.
Audit organisation.
Ensuring the University meets EC financial regulations and is able to adapt to changes in those regulations.

A brief introduction to Framework 7 originally presented by Catherine Hill at the Research Grants User Group meeting on 4th March 2008
and updated in Autumn 2011.
Timesheets and Framework 7: all staff working on FP7 grants are required to record the hours they work on the project.
VAT ineligible: VAT is an ineligible cost for FP7 grants and cannot be reclaimed.
For travel costs the general rule is that if it is possible to identify the taxes that are included in the travel receipt, these identifiable taxes will not be accepted as an eligible cost.
Payments from the EC: an explanation of the calculation of pre-financing and when you will receive the EC’s contribution.
