Password Policy & Expiry
To help maintain security, passwords expire every 80 days. You will be warned when logging in to the network for a few weeks before your password expiries. Whilst you can change your password at any time, you must change it when it expires.
To help secure your account, we recommend your password fulfils the following criteria:
- Eight or more characters
- A combination of letters and numbers
- Not based on a dictionary definition word
- Not the same as any social or online passwords, e.g. Hotmail
If you forget your password, we can reset it for you. If it is entered five times incorrectly your account will become locked out (see Locking Out. If you believe your password has been compromised, you have accidentally told anyone, or have left it written down, change it immediately.
