IT Acceptable Use Policy

All computer users should review and be familiar with the UAS (Unified Administrative Service) policies and associated documents below:

  • MISD records network traffic and user connections and this data can be used to investigate possible infringement of this policy.
  • MISD reserves the right to refuse access, or to withdraw access from facilities in the event of any infringement of these rules.
  • Where appropriate, upon departure or absence, access may be granted to a user's e-mail and/or personal drives for business purposes, if requested by a senior officer of their department or institution.
  • Access to UAS computing resources normally requires user authorisation through the use of a user CRSID and associated password. It is explicitly forbidden to give, lend or borrow a CRSID identifier and associated password, with a colleague or third party.

All new and existing users should download a UA2 Word document or a UA2 Adobe pdf, fill it in and fax it back to MISD, to signify that they agree with the policy.
