International Student Team
Orientation
New students to Cambridge receive information and support from their College and faculty/department. Colleges are familiar with the needs of international students and will normally be your first contact and usually send you or link to information ready for your arrival. The Student Registry, through the Student Gateway, also provides information for all new students on such matters as:
- Cambridge Life
- Your Course
- Academic Resources and Skills
- Fees & Funding
- Health & Welfare
- University rules and legal compliance
To support the provision available from your College and faculty/department we offer an orientation event for international students. Currently this occurs at the beginning of each Michaelmas term. This welcomes new international students to Cambridge and provides newcomers an opportunity to meet other international students and staff. The programme also aims to give information about the University and getting started as a student in Cambridge.
