International Strategy Office

What we do

The International Strategy Office acts as the central administrative support and front office for the University's international collaborations, and provides strategic advice to the University on international matters. The International Strategy Office assumed its current remit on 1 August 2011. Prior to this date, it was known as the International Office/International Education Office and its responsibilities included international students services and exchange programmes – these activities are now managed by Student Operations.

The International Strategy Office monitors policy developments in higher education, research and innovation internationally, disseminating this information via a twice-termly digest and bespoke reports and briefings. The Office provides advice to Schools, faculties and departments on opportunities for international research collaborations, and offers strategic support for University-level initiatives.

The International Strategy Office also maintains a reference library of books and publications on topics concerning international higher education and research.

International Student Matters
