International Strategy Office

The International Strategy Office assumed its current remit on 1 August 2011.
Prior to this date, it was known as the International Office and its responsibilities included international student services, visa advice and exchange programmes – these activities are now managed by the International Student Team.
Welcome to the International Strategy Office
The International Strategy Office acts as the central administrative support and front office for the University's international collaborations, and provides strategic advice to the University on international matters. Its primary activity is to research and provide strategic advice and briefings to the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellors and other senior academic leaders in areas where the University seeks to assess University-level collaborations and partnerships.
The International Strategy Office also deals with University-wide strategic partnerships, monitoring and implementation of agreed international strategies, co-ordination of overseas visits by senior University representatives, and engagement with national and international agencies.
The International Strategy Office coordinates activities arising from the University's membership of international consortia including the International Alliance of Research Universities and the League of European Research Universities.
