Personal Development Planning

Once you have assessed your current skills, knowledge, experience, attributes, strengths and weaknesses and identified the areas in which you would like to undertake some development (or need to in order to realise your career goal), you can plan your development activity using the template Personal Development Plan and guidance below, and look for appropriate courses or development opportunities from the University's various training providers.

Once you have completed any development activity it is important to record it, reflect on what you have learned from it and how you are going to apply that in the work place. The Learning Log template and guidance below enables this process to happen.

The Staff Review and Development process is a useful mechanism for identifying your skills and attributes and for deciding which direction to take your personal and professional development.
