Once you have found the job you want, preparing an application or CV and covering letter that does you justice and persuades the employer to select you for interview takes time and commitment.

You can also access some really useful publications on `CV's and Covering Letters' developed by Careers Advisers at the University's Careers Service. Although these publications are focused on graduate-level employment much of the content is valuable to all those seeking employment at any stage of their career. The Careers Service Resource library also contains some popular generic titles covering this topic.
Interviews
Preparation is key to performing well at interview. It's important that potential employers can see how much work you have done to prepare beforehand as this demonstrates to them that you really want the job.
