Heads of Institution Programme
This leadership programme explores the complex leadership skills required by Heads of Institutions in carrying out their roles in support of the University's mission of achieving world class research and teaching. It now forms an important part of the University's leadership and management development strategy. It comprises 4 x one day core modules which take place between November and March each year and addresses the following topics:
- Head of Institution as Leader
- Personal Leadership
- Setting Strategy and Leading Change
- Leading Others
Participants are also given the opportunity to use a 360° feedback tool designed specifically for leaders in higher education and to attend a series of briefing sessions on topics such as Legal and Policy Issues, Financial Management, Equality and Diversity and Performance Management
