About us
We deliver practical, relevant training and development to the staff and research students of the University of Cambridge. The training and development which we facilitate supports the primary purpose of the University: to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence.
Our work is both grounded in the cultures of the University and also informed by effective practices in universities within and beyond the UK. A defining characteristic of our work is partnership: we work with staff and research students of the University and with development professionals in the research, design, delivery and evaluation of training and development. We support training and development in two key ways:
- Co-ordinating courses and resources. Some of these address generic skills development; some address more specific responsibilities or experience.
- Supporting the implementation of development projects and initiatives.
