Writing a CHRIS/PD33

Are you an administrator or someone involved in routinely writing CHRIS/PD33s to create posts?

Training is available to help with writing CHRIS/PD33s for administrative staff and for those with relevant staff responsibilities in departments and other institutions throughout the University. Normally this is couple with a session to familiarise people with HERA and its relationship with the CHRIS/PD33. If you want to get some training on either or both subjects contact us (tel. 60534, email gradingandreward@admin.cam.ac.uk). Half-day sessions are run on a regular basis throughout the year in various locations and ad-hoc sessions can be arranged in addition if required. The topics covered in the training will include:

  • Familiarisation with HERA
  • Linking HERA to the CHRIS/PD33
  • How to write a CHRIS/PD33
  • Practical exercises

Are you a post holder thinking of rewriting your CHRIS/PD33?

Your first contact should be your line manager or your departmental administrator — they will be able to help. In every case the line manager and the department will have to agree with the contents of the CHRIS/PD33 before it can go forward, so they should be involved at the outset of any rewriting.
