Cycle Training and Safety

Park and Cycle
Even if you drive into work, you can still use your bike to get around town with the Park & Cycle facility on Clerk Maxwell Road, available to all city-centre based staff.

A map of Cambridge cycle routes is available from Cambridgeshire County Council's website. Paper copies are also available from the University's Environment Office.
Tax Relief on Business Journeys
Employers can pay their employees up to 20p per mile tax free for business journeys made by bicycle. The University does not currently pay any cycle mileage allowance. However, employees can claim tax relief on 20p per mile for all business journeys made using their own bicycle, through their tax return.
Cycle Shop Discounts
A number of cycle shops offer discounts on cycles and accessories to University employees. All you need to do is show your University card. Details can be seen at:
