Programme specifications
The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) requires that each programme leading to an award is described in a programme specification. In Cambridge, programme specifications are produced for each Tripos (or each course in an interdisciplinary Tripos like the Natural Sciences Tripos), MPhil programme, other taught postgraduate course, certificate and diploma.
The University is required to make all programme specifications publicly available and does so by publishing them on the University's teaching quality information site, CamDATA. An archive of programme specifications is also maintained on CamDATA and referred to in students' examination transcripts.
