Grupo Santander Fund

Regrettably the Fund is now closed and will not be available until April 2012.

This Fund exists for making grants towards the cost of travelling or exchange incurred by University and College Officers and research staff in attending conferences or in travel for study or research connected with their University duties. It is limited to travel or exchange in the 11 countries and the institutions within the Grupo Santander Network, namely Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain and Portugal.

Travelling Expenses Fund (TEF) and Foreign Travel Fund (FTF)

Regrettably certain categories of staff are NOT eligible for these funds, including STUDENTS and RESEARCH ASSOCIATES.

Travelling Expenses Fund

The Travelling Expenses Fund exists for making grants towards the cost of travelling and other expenses incurred by University officers in attending conferences or in travel for study or research connected with their University duties.

Applications for grants should be submitted to the Education Section before the proposed expenditure is incurred, with an estimate of the amount and any other information. Applications are made through the Head of the Department, or the Chairman of the Faculty Board, or, through the Head of the institution concerned, who shall state whether s/he recommends the approval of a grant.

Foreign Travel Fund (FTF)

The Foreign Travel Fund is for resident members of the Senate aged at least 50 years who wish to travel abroad, with a view of extending their knowledge in any branch of learning with which their teaching or research is concerned.

Applications for grants should be submitted to the Education Section before the proposed expenditure is incurred, with an estimate of the amount and any other information.
