Communications team

CommunicationsThe Communications team works closely with colleagues across the University and Colleges to ensure that communications within the organisation are delivered professionally. We are responsible for maintaining and developing the University's reputation, from design and brand to reactive public relations.

We also deal with analysing political policy, and constructing the communications and messaging around the major isssues of the day, including access and higher education. Our communications officers also provide training in media relations for all University staff, including guidance on handling difficult or sensitive issues.

We produce the staff newsletter, which aims to keep staff informed of new developments and to interest and inspire them with what their colleagues are doing at all levels across the institution. We also run workshops for development and communications colleagues from across Collegiate Cambridge.

We produce core publications such as the Annual Report and the Cambridge & suite of leaflets. We look after the top levels of the website and contribute to the running of many of the University's new and social media initiatives.

We also provide advice and guidance on print, web and multi-media design and work closely with colleagues across the University and Colleges to ensure that communications within the organisation are delivered consistently and to an appropriate level.

We have responsibility for the use of the University logo and we have developed the house style guidelines on behalf of the Core Literature Review Committee.
