The Development and Alumni Relations office is the fundraising and alumni relations arm of the University, responsible for raising major philanthropic gifts and building and sustaining lifelong links between Cambridge and its worldwide community of more than 230,000 alumni and supporters.

We work with all members of Collegiate Cambridge, including the University's Schools, faculties and departments and Institutions, the 31 Colleges, University registered clubs and societies, Cambridge University Health Partners, and the University's sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise funding from a range of constituencies across the globe and deliver a varied programme of alumni and supporter relations.

The campaign for the University and Colleges of Cambridge was launched in autumn 2015 with a goal of raising £2 billion. Further information is available online and our key contacts webpage has a list of people who may be able to help should you have any questions.

The University's previous fundraising campaign for Cambridge’s 800th anniversary closed in 2011, having raised more than £1 billion in philanthropic support.

Historic note

Teams within this office were formerly within the University's then Development Office (CUDO) and the Alumni Relations Office (CARO).
