Joint Network Management Committee (JNMC)
The JNMC is the sub-syndicate of the ISSS responsible for overseeing the work of the Network Division of the University Computing Service and its management of , amongst other things, the University Telephone Network (UTN), the Cambridge University Data Network (CUDN), and the Granta Backbone Network (GBN).
‘Committee supersedes the Joint Telecommunications Management Committee (JTMC) and the Granta Backbone Network Management Committee (GBNMC)’.
The JNMC is comprised of three representatives appointed by the ISSS on the nomination of the Bursars’ Committee and three representatives appointed by the ISSS, two on the nomination of the Finance Committee and one on the nomination of the General Board.
The Head of the Networking Division of the University Computing Service is Secretary to the Committee.
The JNMC meets once a term, or more frequently as business dictates.
